Brown Bear

This picture was taken on a penninsula off Lynn Canal outside of Juneau by someone Mike works with.
I understand you don't want to mess with the Brown Bears. They are sure cute to look at, but they can be very hazardous to your health!!!

We watched an Eagle watching Fish... Want to watch with us???

We took a little drive today when it started snowing to see what we could find in the WILD. Here is a little sampling of what lives in the Alaska Winter, he he he...

This video was taken at Mendenhall Glacier. I think it very well may be the same Bald Eagle sitting in that tree as we got to see last time. He is enormous!!! Would have been cool to see him get a snack, but we didn't stay too long because it was COLD.

This is what the Bald Eagle was watching... a few salmon were swimming around in Steep Creek.

The Christmas lights are beginning to go up around town and we saw a huge Christmas tree and thought it belonged to a business. Turns out it just goes to someone's house. I will try to get a picture to post sometime this week.

The days are getting shorter now. We are driving to work/school in the dark and coming home in the dark. BUT on the weekends, we are enjoying our 6-or-so hours of daylight. I will try to get some night-time pics to post. I haven't played with my camera and taking pictures in the dark yet... I guess we will see how that works.
