Brown Bear

This picture was taken on a penninsula off Lynn Canal outside of Juneau by someone Mike works with.
I understand you don't want to mess with the Brown Bears. They are sure cute to look at, but they can be very hazardous to your health!!!

A Hike to Mendenhall Glacier...

Mike & his friend Todd took a hike (6.8 mile round trip) up West Glacier Trail yesterday in the 85° Sunny weather.
Mike said it was an amazing thing to actually stand on the glacier.
I am so glad he had the opportunity to go and have this experience.
These are a few pictures he took of the ice with is cell phone:Apparently the sun causes the ice to melt and the glacier has these streams of amazing BLUE water on top.
Wow!I have been asking him to take pictures for two years! I think he did a great job & can't wait to see more pictures from him!
