This picture was taken on a penninsula off Lynn Canal outside of Juneau by someone Mike works with.
I understand you don't want to mess with the Brown Bears. They are sure cute to look at, but they can be very hazardous to your health!!!

Marmot

At Eagle Beach, we got to meet this little marmot. He sat on the side of the road eating and just let us take as many pictures of him as we wanted. Isn't he cute? We have seen dozens of these guys and haven't been able to get a photo yet. Not that they are fast, but they just walk under the ferns & grasses when we drive by and they hide. We got lucky I guess, because the ferns & grasses are just starting to grow again after our LONG winter and the plants aren't tall enough to hide in yet. While at Eagle Beach we also got to see the beautiful sun!

you actualy see the sun ther i would have never known. i wish i could come see you guys it like 98 degrees today in sunny arizona. and gess what in Jrotc im going to be a compiny comander YAY! and im taking colloge leval english and history nexed year along with this coming up end of the year.
